We have progressed leaps and bounds since the inception of our Constitution of AOI Haryana. Till
now we have tried to cover most of the district of Haryana while forming the Governing Body and hope to continue the same.nominations
are invited for the next tenure ie 2007-08 , for the following posts-

Governing Body- None posts for one year

Greetings from our New Team of AOI Haryana.
First of all I’m thankful to all the members for electing me as Honorary
Secretary of AOI Haryana and showing faith on my shoulders. I am sorry for the delay in first communication.
Our beloved AOI Haryana is the binding force
for all ENT Surgeons.
I feel short of words to describe the phenomenol work done by Dr. Janak Choudhary and the previous team and of course other members who have worked hard in every respect to
make AOI Haryana on the lines of best branches of India. I along with my new team definitely
try our level best to keep the pace of last three years, of course with your support and blessings of GOD.
Many milestones were achieved and many are still in pipeline. So few of the
New Visions for AOI Haryana are as under:

been done on these sites. Also constant feedback and suggestions will be appreciated.
Our association is thankful to Dr. Ashok
Arora (Rewari) for sponsoring LALA KOTU RAM MEMORIAL award for many years.
His feelings are well appreciated. I am and association as a whole is also thankful to
Dr. S.P.S. Yadav, Dr. Vikkas Kakkar, Dr. Arun Gupta, Dr. J.C. Passey, Dr. Pritam Arora, Dr. I.P. Nangia and many more
for their continuous positive drive and guidance since long and hope for the same in future.
I personally feel that there must be some Public
Awareness programmes in your respective cities, regarding problems in ENT and their latest/ advance management part. This
will encourage the patient for early visit to ENT specialist and best treatment possible with positive results.
I strongly request all the executive members to kindly spare time to attend
the meetings and do all the favors needed from time to time. Lastly I request all the members to kindly give suggestions from
time to time so as to uplift our association. Also encourage others to become members of AOI Haryana and to increase our strength.

Hello!
You are all aware that AOI Haryana was registered around 3 years back with the
effort of Dr. Janak Choudhary and his team. The constitution was formed on the path of Central AOI.
In due course of time the office bearers came across certain problems in previous
annual conferences regarding bid of the conference and formation of Organizing Committee. We are constantly receiving feedbacks.
As we, the members are workers of our worthy
ASSOCIATION and any occasion/ CME/ workshop/ conference planned under the banner of AOI Haryana has to follow certain
protocol/ policy.
Regarding this and with other agendas two executive meetings were held on 4th February 2007 and 25th March 2007.
The minutes of first meet, 4th
Feb. 2007, are as under:
1)
AOI Haryana appreciates the efforts
of the organizing committee (Dr. S.P.S. Yadav, Dr.Vikas Kakkar, Dr. Sunil Munjal, Dr. Sanjay Saxena, and Dr. R.K. Pruthi)
of 11th Annual Conference at Rohtak by giving a sum of Rs. 16500/- to the Central Fund.
2)
The signing authority for the central
fund from now onwards will be Dr. Vikas Kakkar, Dr. Sunil Munjal and Dr. I.P. Nangia.
3)
The outgoing team of the State AOI
(Hon. Secretary, Hon. Treasurer & Hon. Editor) will be honoured in the Annual Conference of AOI Haryana.
4)
There will be a Life-Time Achievement Award for the member who has contributed AOI Haryana during his professional carrier.
5)
A minimum of Rs. 10,000/- will be
deposited in the Central Fund by the Organising Committee of annual conference every year.
6)
Newsletters are to be edited, published
and send by collective effort of Dr. Surinder Singhal, Dr. Vinod Gautam and Dr. Asrudin.
7)
A new Award in the name of Sh. Hari
Om Prakash Gupta will be sponsored by Dr. Arun Gupta (JIND) in the workshop/ any course/ conference for quiz/ paper presentation/
best dissection. AOI is thankful to him.
8)
The sponsored awards will be given
by the sponsorers themselves or at least in their presence. The award will include a momento, a certificate and a cash prize.
9)
A CME on computer education, for
the benefit of ENT surgeons, will be planned in the year 2007. Dr. Arun Gupta (Jind) will conduct the programme. The venue
and date will be decided in near future.
The minutes of second meet, 25th
March 2007, are as under:
1)
A protocol has to be followed for
the Workshop/ Conference with due respect given to the President, Secretary and of course executive/ governing body.
2)
Any occasion of AOI (either CME,
workshop, annual conference etc.) will be arranged under the headship of President with guidance/ suggestions of State Secretary
and governing body of AOI Haryana
State.
3)
A period of 4-6 months is mandatory
between two major events like Conference, Surgical workshop etc. under the banner of AOI Haryana.
4)
The letter head format will be given
by the Hon. Secretary of AOI Haryana for any occasion/ CME/ Workshop/ Conference so as to minimize the confusion among the
members. The protocol to call for the dias and the faculty to be called by the Organising Commiittee must be discussed with
State AOI office bearers.
5)
The organizing committee will arrange
for the Registration and accommodation of The Patrons, President and Secretary of AOI and faculty for the workshop/ conference,
which is their due.
6)
The CME on computer education will
be conducted/ formatted by Dr. Arun Gupta, Jind. The place and dates are yet to be finalized. A feedback from the members
will be appreciated regarding this particular event.
7)
The executive members are strongly
requested to kindly attend the meetings as and when needed.
Let us joint our hands to make AOI Haryana one of the best branches of India.

Dear colleagues,
Avery Happy
New Year to you. May the coming year bring happiness and prosperity and health to you.
We have just witnessed
a very well organized conference and surgical workshop. Those delegates, who attended the event, will appreciate the efforts
of Dr. Nangia, Dr.N.P.S. Verma, and their organizing team. Three cheers to them. On behalf of members of the association my
congratulations to anthem for giving us nicely prepared academic session.
For the benefit of those who could not attend the conference I may summarize here. The conference was well attended
by a galaxy of stars from Delhi. Prominent among them were Dr.P.S. Saharia, Dr.Davender Kumar, Dr.P.P.Singh, Dr.J.M.Hans,
Dr.J.K.Sahni, Dr.J.C.Passey. Dr.B.M.Abrol and Dr. A.K. Lahiri were Chief Guest & Guest of Honor respectively. A doctor,
who ceases to be student-dies, was the massage of our chief Guest. He further advised that we should do practice in-group
rather than on individual basis. Two E.N.T. surgeons practicing at same place will perform better and their quality of life
will also be better. This is the high time to over this point. The only disappointing point observed during the conference
was, in spite of the good gathering, attendance at some of the session was not satisfactory. I shall request the members to
attend each session with full enthusiasm in future. I have received many suggestions regarding the format of academic activities
in the conference; we shall discuss these points in detail in our governing meeting. If you have any suggestions please feel
free to write to me.

Dr. Arun Gupta newly elected president needs no introduction. He has passed his MS & DLO from Medical College Rohtak
in 1979 and worked as Sr. Lecturer till mid 1981. Since then he is in private practice at Jind. He is very senior person who
has served the medical college Rohtak and is in practice for the last twenty years at Jind. It will be my pleasure and a great
experience to work with him. I am sure our association will progress under his able guidance.

I am writing this letter as a part of my drive to communicate to some of senior members of our Association who are not the
members of Executive Committee. I selected you as one of them. This drive is nothing but an attempt to involve persons
like you in the matters of Association. For the last few years we are trying very hard to raise the status of the Association.
I hope you must be aware of all the activities through my communications, which I do post regularly.
All cannot be a part of Governing
Body, elected by General body, which is the sole body to execute all the programs of the Association. These are actually the
programs which matters in raising the standards of Association and this is the field where we look forward for your participation.
We are well aware of ability, experience and talent of senior members like you. I do expect that you will contribute by involving
your self in the activities of the Association. Please do write me your suggestions, ideas as how to improve the functioning.

Minutes of the meeting
were as follows:-
The meeting was started
with introduction of members. Minutes of last G.B.M. were read and confirmed.
1-Web site progress;-
Members suggested many points to improve the website AOIHARYANA@com Dr. Sanjay
Khanna noted all the points and these will be incorporated in the website. Just for the information of members our website
is one of the best site as compared to website of other association. I shall request the members to visit the site,
get yourself registered and give us your valuable suggestion. In case of any confusion please contact Dr. Sanjay Khanna.at

-BUDGET
OF AOI: -
Accounts of AOI Haryana were updated and members were informed. There is need for a regular income to run the Association’s
office. Income from interest is insignificant due to low rate of interest. We shall have to depend upon donations and contribution
from conference fund. This was decided in the past that organizing committee would contribute Rs 5000/- to AOI office
from conference fund.
Dr.
B.P.S. Virk & myself are working hard to raise donation from different sources and we will continue to do so even after
expiry of our term. As for as contribution from our side is concerned, I shall donate Rs.1000/- per year to AOI office as
long as I can afford to do so. Dr. Virk, Dr. Arun Gupta, Dr.Pritam Arora, Dr.Sunil Munjal, Dr.Vinod Aggarwal, Dr. Sanjay Khanna
have also announced to join me in this cause. They paid Re 1000/- each on the spot. One thousand is a very small amount many
more can join us. My humble request to fellow colleagues to volunteer yourself.
It was my desire to give travel allowance to executives who comes to attend the meeting. But due to paucity of funds it was
decided that for the time being we cant afford this. We might consider it in future.
3. Record of AOI
This was decided that we should issue life membership cards to each member. We still do not have complete record of
each member but we are after it. Now we have a soft ware to enter & update the data of each member & his family. Please
send the biodata forms sent to you two weeks back. Good database if a must for good communication and mutual interaction.
A separate directory will be published containing all the information about member. Dr. Vinod Goutam has been assigned this
job. All the record will remain with the secretary who will issue the life membership no. to new member.
4. News letter.
Members suggested many points to improve the quality of newsletter. Dr. Vinod Goutam assured better copy of newsletter
in future. We also invite your suggestions to improve it and also share your clinical experience. Members are also requested
to send articles and interesting case reports for publication in the same.
5. Format of conference.
Attendance in GBM is usually very thin if it is held at the end of conference. To increase the attendance factor at
GBM it was decided that inauguration and GBM. will be held on the first day of conference. Now GBM will be held on day 1st
just before lunch and inauguration ceremony in the evening with banquette and cultural program. Installation of next President
will also be done on the same day gracefully.
6-Registeration of officials at conference-
If the host decides for a delegate fees at conference, the officials namely Patron, president, Secretary and Treasurer should
be registered obligatory and host will be responsible for their stay as well.
7-Conference Venue-
Dr. Vikas Kakkar informed that Medical College Rohtak might host conference of AOI North West region in year 2006.The conference
of AOI Haryana for 2005 was allotted to Rohtak. Members from Rohtak initially have shown their inability to host the conference
at Rohtak in 2005. After lot of discussion ultimately it was decided that AOI Haryana should not change its already planned
program. Activities of AOI Haryana will continue as decided earlier. It is also not yet confirm whether the conference of
AOI North-West will be held at Rohtak definitely in 2006.AOI Haryana will co-operate with M.C. Rohtak if asked for.
The meeting ended with vote of Thanks to M/s NRI Pharmaceutical for sponsoring the meeting.
