Thank you very much for the faith shown in me and the executive to carry the association ahead. A great responsibility has been placed on our shoulders, but I am sure that with your useful advice and co operation, we will make full effort to come true to your expectations. Usually there is no feed back from the members, so I request members to express their views & interact frequently with office bearers. I have developed a software to maintain the database of all members of the association for better communication and interaction.

This is time of faster communication & continuous learning.  I was astonished to know that many of us do not have the email addresses. We should move with the world least we will be left behind. In the current scenario learning basics of computer & buying it is one of wisest investment. Once one gets used to using it, I am sure one will ask oneself “why did not I go for it earlier”. 

In the first executive meeting at Karnal on 20^th Feb, the possibility of mid session surgical workshop of Temporal Bone dissection was discussed. Learning is a continuous process and finding time to attend CME & surgical workshops is wise future investment.  

Dr. Sanjay Khanna has made lot of effort to get out site on net, perhaps it is best out of all other states sites. It depressing to see that even our own members are not registering. Once the members show interest in visiting the site more informative & interesting material can be posted & vice versa. Members can share their experience and post interesting cases.

With this first interaction I hope you will give your valuable suggestions regularly. Both your suggestions and criticism will be welcomed and are of great value to us for better working.

Biodata Dr. Arun Gupta 

Born at Jind on 22ed July 1953 and got into MBBS course in the year 1969 after passing 12^th from Govt School, Jind.Did one year house job in The ENT at Medical College Rohtak and passed DLO & MS exams in 1977 & 1979 respectively. Did M.Sc in Computer science from MDU in 2003. 

Was Senior resident from 5.8.77 to 2.11.80 (3 yr,3 Months) & served as Lecturer & Consultant Surgeon from 3.11.80  to 4.6.82 (1 yr 7 months), held charge of Audiology wing during this period. He started & taught feeding gastrostomy to resident surgeons of ENT.He started regular Journal club with help of Dr. J.K.Sahni. 

Got married to Dr.Vandana Gupta MBBS from Medical College, Kanpur.

Started his own practice at Jind since June 1982. Has high academic interest and attends various conferences. Has visited various hospitals in USA & Canada
